Aberdeen Galling defeat

It’s that part of the season when every point takes on added importance. It makes no logical sense to consider that three points this week are worth more than three points in August or September but they are because football is anything but logical. That explains why the loss on Saturday was particularly galling – not only the points dropped but also the position from which they were dropped. From being relatively comfortable at half-time to struggling so badly by full-time is not a good position to be in.

The next few games are not only important in terms of our final league position but also for building momentum for the Scottish Cup semifinal, which will be our most important game of the season to date. We can’t afford more inconsistencies at this time.
