Motherwell Robinson vindicated

- Derek Wilson

The wheels were reattached to the Motherwell bandwagon on Saturday, although the first hour or so against St Johnstone was far from thrilling. Victory kept us in with an outside chance of the top six but more realistically further confirms our good form since the first nine games. From that point, when calls for manager Stephen Robinson to go really started, we have collected points at a rate which, over a season, would often bring a third-place finish.

The board deserve public acknowledgement for a tremendous decision. The praise that would have been heaped upon them had we changed manager and achieved these results would have been unending.
