National Trust launches new drive to protect historic battlefield

It is the site of one of the most famous battles in Scottish history. Now a consultation has been launched by the National Trust of Scotland to ensure Culloden Moor’s protection.

The pivotal moment in Scotland’s history was where the 1745 Jacobite Rising came to a tragic and brutal end.

But it has become the scene of growing conflicts with developers over plans encroaching on the site.
