The Princess Royal this morning visited Stainless Metalcraft Limited, Chatteris Engineering Works, Honeysome Road, Chatteris, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lordlieutenant of Cambridgeshire (Mrs. Julie Spence).
Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened new factory facilities at Le Mark Group Limited, 1 Houghton Hill Industries, Sawtry Way, Houghton, Cambridgeshire.
The Princess Royal later visited the Life Sciences Laboratories at LGC Group Limited, Newmarket Road, Fordham, Cambridgeshire.
Her Royal Highness, President, the Blues and Royals Association, this evening attended a Dinner at Combermere Barracks, St. Leonards Road, Windsor, Berkshire, to mark the Fiftieth Anniversary of The Blues and Royals Amalgamation.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Foundation of Light, this afternoon attended the Football Trophy Final between Sunderland and Portsmouth at Wembley Stadium, Middlesex.

The Princess Royal, Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, this morning visited Sandes Farm, Thornton Road, Goxhill, Barrowupon Humber, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Lincolnshire (Mr Toby Dennis), and afterwards visited the National Grid River Humber Gas Pipeline Replacement Project, East Marsh Road, Goxhill.
Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Boston Stump Restoration and Development Appeal, this afternoon launched the Guild of St. Botolph’s Fundraising Scheme, Church Close, Boston, and was received by Mr William Webb (Deputy Lieutenant of Lincolnshire).
KENSINGTON PALACE
The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited Alstom Transport Technology Centre, Lovel Way, Widnes, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Cheshire (Mr David Briggs).
His Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Brindley Centre, High Street, Runcorn, Cheshire, to mark the One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of Runcorn Railway Station.
The Duke of Gloucester later officially opened 2M House, and the 2M Academy and STEM Centre, Sutton Quays Business Park, Clifton Road, Sutton Weaver, Runcorn. His Royal Highness afterwards visited Norton Priory Museum, Tudor Road, Windmill Hill, Runcorn.

The Queen, Patron, this evening gave a Reception at Windsor Castle to mark the Centenary of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations. The Princess Royal and The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were present.

BUCKINGHAM PALACE
The Duke of York, Vice Admiral, this afternoon received Air Vice-marshal Garry Tunnicliffe upon relinquishing his appointment as Defence Services Secretary and Rear Admiral James Macleod upon assuming the appointment.
His Royal Highness, Vice Admiral, received Admiral Sir Philip Jones (First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff ).

The Duke of Gloucester, Colonel-inchief, Royal Army Medical Corps, this afternoon attended the book launch of “Military Medicine in Iraq and Afghanistan: A Comprehensive Review” at the Army and Navy Club, 36-39 Pall Mall, London SW1.
ST JAMES’S PALACE
The Duke of Kent this morning presented The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service to University of Bristol Botanic Gardens, Stoke Park Road, Stoke Bishop, Bristol, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lordlieutenant of the County and City of Bristol (Mrs. Peaches Golding). His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Blessing of the Saxon Well of St. Edith of Wilton, Castle Park, Bristol.
The Duke of Kent afterwards unveiled a Memorial to honour Sikh soldiers who lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars, Castle Park.
His Royal Highness subsequently met members of the Normandy Veteran Association at the Garden of Peace Memorial to Bristolians who died in the Normandy landings of the Second World War, Castle Park. The Duke of Kent later officially opened the new In-patient Unit, St Peter’s Hospice, Charlton Road, Brentry, Bristol.
