Scots on the march with Norway win
Scotland’s Bruce Mouat and his team stepped up their title challenge with a victory over Norway at the World Curling Championships in Canada last night.
Back-to-back wins on Tuesday over Sweden and Korea had lifted their spirits, and the European champions looked close to their best as they outclassed Norway’s Magnus Ramsfjell 8-4. A three at the fourth end opened up a 5-2 lead which soon grew to 8-3, and Ramsfjell eventually admitted defeat with two ends still to play.
Scotland have now joined Italy in sixth place in the round-robin standings with the top six due to progress to the knockout stages. The Scots face Japan next in Lethbridge.
