Queen of the South Battling qualities

-

Queens put an end to their horror run of defeats with an impressive win at Tannadice and a frustrating draw at home to Falkirk. A return of four points from six is not to be sniffed at but, more tellingly, is the manner in which they were won.

After taking a two-goal lead against Dundee United, the hosts pulled a goal back with 20 minutes to go. While most of us feared the worst, the team showed great resilience to hold on for the win. Our battling qualities were again on show as we brushed off the disappointment of conceding from a penalty in the second minute of added time against Falkirk to score a penalty of our own four minutes later and salvage a point. This bodes well for what is likely to be a nervy end to the season.
