Morton Making amends
Saturday saw Morton battered 3-0 by Partick Thistle at Cappielow – arguably the lowest point of a poor campaign. There have been a number of poor results under Jonatan Johansson but this was the lowest many Ton fans had felt all season.
If there was any glimmer of hope, though, it was that they didn’t have to wait long to rectify the situation as Ayr United awaited at Somerset on Tuesday. On this occasion, Morton seemed a far better side than the one which took to the field only three days previous – controlling the game and earning a valuable point. This latest performance shows that Morton have enough about them to avoid relegation. The question is: can they continue to perform to this level?
