Inverness Caley Thistle Derby hopes fall flat

-

The Highland derby is promoted as the “friendly” derby by both clubs but on the field this season it has been anything but. On Tuesday night the final league derby of the season was played, and it looks like being the last one for a while as County are now a shoo-in for promotion.

Every derby game this season has been a cracker and it has certainly benefited from a rest the last few seasons. Tuesday night, however, was a bit flatter than normal and when the referee is criticised by both sets of fans and the TV commentators you know there is a problem. Sending off Trafford whilst not sending off Draper seemed to seal our fate. Onwards to Ayr for ICT on Saturday and we really need a decent result to set us up for our trip to Hampden.
