Watching Prime Minister’s Questions today (3 April) and seeing Theresa May’s proposal to seek the help of the Leader of the Opposition being attacked on the grounds that Jeremy Corbyn is a Marxist, was more than disturbing: the blatant venom was actually scary.

The way Jews ostracised Samaritans until Jesus the Jew taught them and us an unforgettable lesson came to mind instantly.

But it is particularly serious indeed that such men in our British parliament today, all with, no doubt, a “good education” behind them, have not even learned the lessons from the Mccarthy era in the USA and the apartheid regime in South Africa, when calling a political opponent a Communist was meant to condemn him and his views. As Pete Seeger wrote: “Oh! When will they ever learn?”
