Adderley and Clyne through

Scotland’s Alan Clyne and Georgia Adderley made it through to today’s quarter-finals of the Springfield Scottish Open at Oriam.

No 1 seed Clyne got the better of England’s Stuart Macgregor in three straight sets (11-5, 11-4, 11-4). The 32-year-old from Inverness will take on fifth seed Sebastian Bonmalais of France today.

In a clash of Scots, 18-year-old Adderley beat third seed alison thomson 11-5, 11-8, 8-11, 13-11. She faces Cristina Gomez of Spain in the quarter-finals.

The other Scots who fell at the second-round stage were Rory Stewart, Lucy Murchie and Katriona Allen.
