Man injured after being hit by bus on Princes Street

A man was taken to hospital yesterday after being hit by a bus on Princes Street in Edinburgh city centre. The Mound was closed and motorists were asked to avoid the area.

At around 3:30pm the roads reopened as police confirmed the man had been taken to hospital and thanked the public for their help at the scene

An update from police later confirmed that the injuries were not lifethreatening.
