Missing man’s body found in loch

Police searching for missing man Robert Scoular have confirmed his body has been found.

An appeal was launched last Wednesday to trace the 34-year-old and on Saturday a search was carried out at Lochend Loch.

Officers recovered his body from the water around 4pm. His family have been informed.

Inspector Colin Fordyce said: “Our deepest sympathies are with Robert’s family and friends at this time.

“Inquiries are ongoing but there appear to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.”
