#INDYREF2

A second Scottish independence referendum should take place within two years, before the next Holyrood elections, Green Party co-convener Patrick Harvie has said.

@thesilentmajo12 said: “Scottish Greens care more about Independence than they do the environment these days. Whatever happened to them?”

Willmottgeorge was angered: “As you are a list member do you really think you deserve to make such a request, you do not have a constituency, and have already cost the average person in Scotland money through your ill thought out ideas. Tail wagging the dog comes to mind.”

@noahsamuelbrown added: “Patrick Harvie may well be carving the new approach to Indyref2 with his movements over the last month. Harvie and Sturgeon together are a far greater sight for sore eyes than are the old political elite of Westminster.”

@eaglu added: “Patrick’s quite right. The damage of the Conservatives’ suicide pact in fixating on a simplistic ideology has longterm consequences, even though Brexit was never possible. Lack of trust in WM ensures my ‘No’ vote in 2014 is now an emphatic and

permanent ‘Yes’.

#GORDONSTRACHAN

Gordon Strachan has “sincerely apologised” for any “unintended distress caused” by his controversial Adam Johnson remarks.

@hollyannpaters1 advised the former Scotland manager: “Engaging one’s brain before talking helps.”

@Fplfantasytalk said: “If Gordon Strachan had any word/hand in his apology I am Lionel Messi.”

@Absolutemuppett wrote: “People are incapable of understanding discussion without moral outrage. He wasn’t advocating or comparing racism, he was bringing up a valid question if verbally abusing Johnson or anyone should be acceptable if he returned.”

@slicksymmo pointed out: “Carragher spat on people and didn’t get sacked. Sky Sports have no morals. Strachan is safe.”

Dr_strange_pork tweeted: “I’d rather he be educated than vilified. Helping someone to see & admit WHY their POV is simply wrong is more powerful.”

@Danieloconnel18 stated: “Oh dear Gordon Strachan. I know you were put on the spot and started talking without thinking, but you’ve got to remember there are always witch-hunters waiting to destroy you for any unguarded words.”
