Barclays jobs to be moved to Glasgow

-

Banking giant Barclays is to relocate hundreds of jobs, leading to union fears of compulsory redundancies.

Barclays said there would be a reduction of around 50 jobs, with 400 moving to Glasgow, Greater Manchester and Northampton.

But the Unite union said that around 460 jobs were at risk, mainly in Coventry and Birmingham, with a smaller number in London’s Canary Wharf, Liverpool, Northampton, Cardiff, Belfast, Poole, Leeds, Stockton on Tees, Petersfield and Manchester.
