Girl, two, critical after fall from flat window

0 Police at the scene on Dumbarton Road yesterday A two-year-old girl is in a critical condition in hospital after falling from the window of a third-floor flat.

The incident happened on Dumbarton Road, close to Boquhanran Road, in Clydebank, West Dunbartons­hire, yesterday afternoon.

She was taken to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow, where staff describe her condition as critical.

Detective Inspector Steve Martin is appealing for witnesses after a number of people attended to the toddler after the fall.

He said: “The little girl has sustained very serious injuries and we are trying to establish the full circumstan­ces surroundin­g the incident. As such we are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the child fall or anyone who has seen her at the window prior to her falling.”
