Girl, two, critical after fall from flat window

0 Police at the scene on Dumbarton Road yesterday A two-year-old girl is in a critical condition in hospital after falling from the window of a third-floor flat.

The incident happened on Dumbarton Road, close to Boquhanran Road, in Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire, yesterday afternoon.

She was taken to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow, where staff describe her condition as critical.

Detective Inspector Steve Martin is appealing for witnesses after a number of people attended to the toddler after the fall.

He said: “The little girl has sustained very serious injuries and we are trying to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. As such we are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the child fall or anyone who has seen her at the window prior to her falling.”
