The Prince of Wales today undertook engagement­s in Cumbria and was received by Her Majesty’s Lordlieute­nant (Mrs. Peter Hensman).

His Royal Highness this morning visited Pirelli Tyres Limited, Dalston Road, Carlisle, to celebrate the Fiftieth Anniversar­y

of the firm’s Carlisle factory (right).

The Prince of Wales this afternoon opened the new Windermere Jetty Museum of Boats, Steam and Stories, Rayrigg Road, Windermere.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team, Low Fold, 1 Old Lake Road, Ambleside. The Prince of Wales, Patron, Foundation for Common Land, subsequent­ly attended a Meeting at the University of Cumbria, Rydal Road, Ambleside.

His Royal Highness later visited the Hawkshead Relish Company Limited, Esthwaite Old Hall Barn, Hawkshead, Ambleside, to mark the firm’s Twentieth Anniversar­y.
