GOLF / THE MASTERS

-

Rory Mcilory

odds: 13/2

This is his fifth attempt to complete a career grand slam at the Masters and he arrives with a real spring in his step, after seven top-10 finishes this year.

Justin Rose

odds: 12/1

He’s come close to blooming here, finishing runner-up twice in the past three years, and this could be the week he adds to his 2013 US Open triumph.

Tiger Woods

odds: 14/1

It would be one of the great sporting tales if he could claim a fifth win here after all his back woe. After his Tour Championship win, anything is possible.

Jordan Spieth

His form coming into the event has been poor, but this place brings out the best in him. He won in 2015 and has not finished outside the top 11 in five outings.

odds: 18/1

Dustin Johnson

Can’t be discounted. Edging back towards the form he was in when injuring himself on the eve of the Masters two years ago and being forced to withdraw.

odds: 10/1

Jon Rahm odds: 16/1

Recovered from an opening 75 to finish fourth last year. Can he join Seve Ballesterios, Jose Maria Olazabal and Sergio Garcia in delivering a Spanish victory?

Rickie Fowler

Closed with rounds of 65 and 67 to finish second behind Patrick Reed in 2018. Will take confidence from that as he bids to get the majors monkey off his back.

odds: 18/1

Brooks Koepka

Can’t be discounted after wracking up three major wins in past two years and is a man on a mission after sitting out this event a year ago through injury.

odds: 25/1

Dark horse

Francesco Molinari’s confidence has gone through the roof over the past year and he now putts well enough to get in the mix here. odds: 20/1
