Motorcyclist dies in hospital after road crash

A motorcyclist has died following a road crash in Sutherland.

The collision happened on the A837 near Inchnadamph on Tuesday. The 52-year-old man was travelling north towards Lochinver when the crash occurred at around 3pm. No other vehicles were involved.

The biker was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness where he died on Wednesday.

An investigation is ongoing and sergeant Donnie Mackinnon said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this difficult time.”
