Familiar face returns to senior post at Menzies

John Menzies, the Edinburgh-based global aviation services business, has added to its senior management team.

Mervyn Walker, who has more than 30 years’ experience in the ground handling industry, is returning to the company after four years working on a number of projects and initiatives in the sector.

Prior to this, Walker spent 14 years at Menzies working in a number of senior operational posts.

He will work closely with interim chief executive Giles Wilson and focus on “operational discipline, cost control and productivity”.
