Time for Trexit?

-

Theresa May was accused of an “abject surrender” in Brussels and told to quit by one of her own MPS after

she agreed to delay Brexit until 31 October.

The woman is shameless. Step aside for somebody competent.

In that party?

Maybe the rest of the MPS should step aside as well? We could do with a fresh start. None of these folk are willing to negotiate and compromise apart from May. She’s only doing so in the hope that it keeps her shattered party together, not for the good of the electorate. This negotiating should have been done when the result was announced.

You have to admire Westminster. After getting their delay and with Tusk’s admonition to “use the time wisely” ringing in their ears, they decide to go on their Easter Break.

To describe current events

as “abject surrender” is to misuse a military metaphor. There is no surrender, merely the application of some common sense. Testimony indeed to the skills of the spin merchants and outright liars among the Brexit ratpack.

Yes it is time for her to go. Everything associated with Brexit is in stalemate and nothing will change if she remains.

Theresa May should’ve quit a long time ago but, as bad as this disaster has been for the UK under her stewardship, it’s always been, and still is, very likely we’ll get someone much worse than her if she were to stand aside. I think we just have to sit it out and let the many reasonable and rational people working hard to prevent disaster, force the only reasonable outcome – no Brexit, either by a revoke or second referendum.
