Forest blaze rages for 12 hours
Fire crews spent more than 12 hours battling a large blaze in a forest.
Emergency services were called to a site near Loch Doon, Dalmellington, in East Ayrshire at about 6:50pm on Saturday.
Residents were advised to shut their windows. There have been no reports of any injuries.
The blaze was eventually brought under control at 3:20pm yesterday. A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) spokeswoman said there were no casualties.
