Firefighters tackle large warehouse blaze

Firefighters have tackled a large blaze at a warehouse in Aberdeen.

The fire broke out at Smiddybrae Works on Skene Road at about 2.20pm on Saturday.

The situation was complicated after gas canisters were found inside the property, forcing police to establish a 200-metre cordon as a precaution.

Police also closed the A944 in both directions. The road has since been reopened.
