Scots professionals not getting perks they want

- By SCOTT REID

Some two thirds of Scottish professionals do not receive workplace perks and benefits, according to a survey of hundreds of workers.

This is despite just over 71 per cent of people believing that perks are important at work, the study by independent job board Cv-library found.

The poll found that there were certain perks workers in Scotland were keen to receive, including more than 50 per cent wanting flexible working. Despite this, only one in five is offered flexibility in their working hours.

Lee Biggins, founder and chief executive of Cv-library, said: “It’s an alarming statistic to find that over two thirds of Scottish professionals don’t receiveworkplaceperks.extra benefits are an important part of a job offer and certainly contribute to your enjoyment in a role.

“When looking for a job, it’s important to have an idea of what you want from it. In 2019, we know that pay isn’t the be all and end all.”
