Income rises at Robert Walters as Asia booms
Recruitment heavyweight Robert Walters has seen its fee income grow in the first quarter despite uncertainty in Europe, as its Asian business continued to surge.
In a trading update, the group said net fee income had risen 10 per cent across the group compared to the same period last year.
The UK and Europe markets both delivered 10 per cent growth, despite uncertainty over Brexit and the overall health of the European economy. The firm highlighted a good performance in both London and the rest of the UK.
In Asia, the strongest growth occurred in Japan, China, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, all of which showed growth of 15 per cent or more.
