The unemployme­nt rate in Scotland has hit a record low of 3.3 per cent – the lowest it has been since 1992. The new figures from the Office of National Statistics show a total of 93,000 working-age people were unemployed from December to February, down from 101,000 between September and November last year.

Blame Universal Credit. It’s getting people into work. That and Brexit.
