Profit growth abates at Hays

Recruitment firm Hays reported a marked slowdown in profit growth in the third quarter, blaming tough comparatives in Germany, Australia and New Zealand.

Nevertheless, the group posted 6 per cent net fee growth, led by a 7 per cent increase in revenues from its international businesses.

Chief executive Alistair Cook said that the outlook remains “positive across most markets”.
