Hibernian Bring on the champions

While Hibernian would have preferred not to have had the weekend off, hopefully the chance to play in a couple of reserve games will have been beneficial to Ryan Gauld and Thomas Agyepong, among others, in their attempt to regain full fitness. Indeed, Paul Heckingbottom has spoken of his pleasure at seeing injured players getting closer to a return to action.

Hopefully the Hibs boss will have learned from Celtic’s previous visit to Easter Road, when we exited the Scottish Cup with a meek, cautious approach. Since that day, the team has grown in confidence and should relish taking on the champions. It is certainly a game every Hibby has been looking forward to since turning over Hearts at Tynecastle in our last outing.
