Rangers Middleton makes a mark

- Jamie Currie

With the first team not having a game last weekend, Glenn Middleton stole the Rangers headlines with his brace in the Old Firm reserve match. Middleton seems to have his confidence back and is performing well. He has also been playing in a central role and his flexibility could come in handy for Steven Gerrard’s squad next season, as he shows he has more than one string to his bow.

Hearts will be a tough game on Saturday. They have just reached the Scottish Cup final and Rangers will be without Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos. But it’s vitally important to carry momentum into next season that Rangers come away from Tynecastle with a victory.
