Ayr United A season to remember

It was a disappointing result on Friday evening for Ayr against Dundee United. Ayr scored first but two Dundee United goals in the second half clinched their win. With the way that results panned out at the weekend, Ayr have secured their play-off place.

At the beginning of the season the aim for Ayr was simply to stay in the league. Having gone on to have such a great season and to be fighting for the chance of promotion to the top flight is something that Ayr fans could only have dreamt of. Since Ian Mccall has come to Ayr, he has made a real difference and given Ayr fans something to get excited about again. I’m sure most supporters will agree that it has been a season to remember whatever happens in the play-offs.
