Morton Energy in the bank

-

After a free weekend while our Tuesday night opponents competed in the Scottish Cup semi-finals, hopefully we’ll have preserved some energy for a crucial encounter. As for Tuesday, despite a spirited performance in a game that the ’Ton dominated, a late equaliser for Inverness cost Jonatan Johansson’s men what would have been a valuable three points.

Instead Morton remain rooted to the bottom half of the table, just above the drop zone. There were plenty positives to take from this encounter, and fans are reassured to some extent. A similar performance against Falkirk on Saturday should be enough for three points, and potentially seal Ray Mckinnon’s side’s relegation, something all at Morton would dearly love.
