Challenge to kids
Watching student climatedemonstrators I couldn’t help but wonder if, instead of disrupting the lives of people trying to get to work and inflating our endemic fuel poverty with green taxes, they looked to the beam in their own eye.
For example, some schoolchildren acknowledged during their “day of truancy for global warming” that over half the cars on city streets in rush hour are on the school run and pledged to walk to school or use public transport. One would take more notice if students banned cars on campus or refused to use aircraft on their gap years or ski holidays. At present they resemble those hypocritical “green” jetsetters Prince Charles, Al Gore and David Attenborough. (REV DR) JOHN CAMERON
