Aberdeen’s Wood welcomes DS Smith finance boss to board

The finance boss of global packaging business DS Smith is joining the board of Wood, the Aberdeen-headquartered energy and engineering services group.

Adrian Marsh will join the firm as a non-executive director on 10 May following its annual general meeting. He will also be appointed chair of the audit committee with effect from 1 September.

Marsh is currently group finance director of DS Smith, a position he has held since September 2013. He was previously head of tax, treasury and corporate finance at Tesco and has also held divisional chief financial officer positions at drugs giant Astrazeneca and glass-maker Pilkington. Following Marsh’s appointment, as previously indicated, Jann Brown will retire as a non-executive director and chair of Wood’s audit committee on 1 September.

Ian Marchant, who previously said he was standing down as chairman, said: “I am delighted to welcome Adrian to the board.
