Slow thinking

-

The call to make 20mph the legal limit across Scotland for vehicles driving in residential areas is environmentally excellent but practically unworkable.

Slowing the traffic to this extent makes cars almost pointless, you could walk instead.

Of course, this is the general idea. Our Snp/green administration would like nothing better.

The question that is being ignored is: how will this move marry up with the muchdesired vibrant, booming economy?

We live in a world of instant access and instant results. Swapping fast food for a slowcooked roast will be such a culture shock.

It looks as if the SNP want to have their choice of main courses and eat them all. Achieving this will be quite another matter – and who is paying the bill?
