Protesting protest

-

Joyce Mcmillan (Perspective, 19 April) seems to think the environmental street protesters are doing a necessary job. This at a time when there is a knife crime epidemic in London, coupled to low numbers of policemen – and what do we have? Hundreds of policemen diverted to deal with protesters who seem to think they have a god-given right to disrupt the lives of ordinary people going about their business. You couldn’t make this nonsense up!
