Scotland enjoyed its hottest Easter Sunday on record yesterday, with temperatures hitting 23.4C (74F) in Edinburgh. Monday is set to be another hot day, but after that temperatures are likely to fall back to the seasonal average.
@Bazzzaar commented: “I have not been online much at all today – and it’s all because I’ve been enjoying this lovely weather that Scotland rarely gets. I would say that’s as good a reason as any.”
@Randrews210 wondered: “If only Scotland’s weather was this class all the time.”
@Maclennanfraer enthused: “What a country Scotland is the when the weather is like this.”
@Mtbibby pondered: “The wet miserable cold weather we get 90 per cent of the time in Scotland makes you 100 per cent more appreciative of this hot beautiful weather.”
@Snareow commented: “It’s April 21st and I’m packing swim shorts to go out with friends. Scotland’s weather is mental.”
@thegaaary offered: “Three days of summer-like weather and Scotland’s mood rises from ‘scunnered’ to a more positive ‘brand new’ with added lobster colouring.”

@Barackobama offered: “The attacks on tourists and Easter worshippers in Sri Lanka are an attack on humanity. On a day devoted to love, redemption, and renewal, we pray for the victims and stand with the people of Sri Lanka.”
@Imrankhanpt commented: “Strongly condemn the horrific terrorist attack in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday resulting in precious lives lost & hundreds injured. My profound condolences go to our Sri Lankan brethren.”
