Wildfire threat to Moray wind farm

A major wild fire was threatening a wind farm near Moray last night.

Fire crews were alerted to the blaze near Paul’s Hill wind farm, close to Aberlour, at 2:58pm on Monday. The blaze was on three fronts, with one stretching for six miles.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said it has sent nine fire appliances and two water carriers to the scene.

Two wildfire units, a command support unit and a welfare unit have also been dispatched to the area. There are no reports of any casualties.
