Re: “Snagging delays on Queensferr­y Crossing unacceptab­le” (22 April), it would appear that the extensive snagging list of repairs outstandin­g on the new bridge is going take years to close out rather than months, as the

work continues at a snail’s pace.

Snagging, by definition, is minor works that the contractor agrees to complete as part of the original contract price, to be closed out in a matter of weeks rather than years. The SNP administra­tion needs to

sharpen their commercial skills and get the job finished. DENNIS FORBES GRATTAN
