Significant ‘snags’
Re: “Snagging delays on Queensferry Crossing unacceptable” (22 April), it would appear that the extensive snagging list of repairs outstanding on the new bridge is going take years to close out rather than months, as the
work continues at a snail’s pace.
Snagging, by definition, is minor works that the contractor agrees to complete as part of the original contract price, to be closed out in a matter of weeks rather than years. The SNP administration needs to
sharpen their commercial skills and get the job finished. DENNIS FORBES GRATTAN
