Aitken and Andrews in top form

Scottish curlers Gina Aitken and Scott Andrews continue to cut through the World Mixed Doubles Championship like a hot knife through butter following another crushing victory in Stavanger last night.

Aitken and Andrews easily won their opening three matches in Group D and maintained their 100 per cent record against Slovakia’s Silvia Sykorova and Marek Sykora.

A three at the second end gave the Scots an early advantage and a four at the seventh finally put the Slovaks out of their misery while trailing 11-2.

Aitken and Andrews can expect their first real test in the competition later today when they face the unbeaten Germans Pialisa Schoell and Konstantin Kaempf.
