Man injured in dance floor attack

A man suffered serious injuries after he was hit in the face on the dance floor of a club in West Lothian.

The incident happened at about 2:40am on Sunday at Envi Nightclub in Hopetoun Street, Bathgate. A 31-year-old man was on the dance floor when he was struck on the face and suffered a number of serious head and facial injuries.

He was taken to St John’s Hospital for treatment, where he remains. Police are investigating.
