One dead and two injured in car crash

One man has died and two people are seriously injured following a crash involving a car and a van.

The collision on the A96 near Elgin involved a white Peugeot 208 car travelling west and a white Fiat Scudo van heading east.

Shane Drury, 29, who was driving the car, was taken to hospital but died from his injuries, police said.

The 47-year-old van driver and his 52-year-old front passenger were both taken to hospital with serious injuries.
