MS Paint to stay – for the time being

Drawing app Microsoft Paint will remain a part of the Windows 10 operating system “for now”, one of the firm’s developers has said.

The popular, basic drawing program was set to be removed from the PC software in 2017, leading to an outpouring of support for the app.

Microsoft then confirmed the app would not be withdrawn but would instead be moved to the Windows Store rather than be a default app, but those who wished to could still download it for free.
