Off-duty officer faces hearing over party fight

-

An-off duty police officer has been granted an absolute discharge but faces disciplinary proceedings at work after getting involved in a booze-fuelled bust-up at a charity fancydress party at a Kelso hotel.

PC Pierce Solley refused to leave the function at the Cross Keys Hotel despite repeatedly being asked to and clashed with the event’s organisers, who were dressed as characters from the film Pulp Fiction.

It was claimed that the 23-year-old threatened to punch Janice Darrie, a woman in her 60s dressed as Mia Wallace, played in the film by Uma Thurman.
