Fossil banks, no thanks: Campaigners want RBS to take further action over climate change
Environmental activists staged a protest at the Royal Bank of Scotland’s headquarters, in Edinburgh, demanding further action to combat climate change.
The campaigners called on the bank to fully commit to ending the financing of fossil fuel projects.
They said RB S had taken steps in the right direction over the past few years but believed the bank had a “massive opportunity” to lead the country away from fossil fuel finance.
Campaigners want a company policy that specifically excludes the financing of fossil fuels.
