Fines could be brought in to control fireworks

A total ban on fire work sales might be welcomed by p et owners, but West Lothian Council has suggested introducing fixed penalties to control rogue sales.

The council’ sexe cutive heard the fixed penalty suggestion is part of a response to Scottish Government consultation. The council backed existing restrictions, with exemp - tions being Chinese New Year,Diwa li, New Year’ s Eve and Bonfire night.
