Ayr United Doohan’s clean sweep

-

Two night-time matches, both at Somerset Park and both unfortunately resulting in defeat. Now two matches remain with United and Inverness level on points fighting to see who finishes third.

On Saturday, the club hosted their annual Player of the Year Awards. It was a clean sweep for goalkeeper Ross Doohan, winning the club Young Player of the Year as well as those of the three supporters clubs. Lawrence Shankland bagged goal of the season for his wonder goal against Partick as well as the Player of the Year and the Players’ Player of the Year. Andy Murdoch won one of the supporters clubs’ awards, Michael Moffat and Shankland the others. It was great to see the fans, players and backroom staff together to celebrate the season .
