Peterhead let title slip but can try again
Peterhead let the League 2 title slip through their hands when Stirling Albion hit back in injury time to draw 1-1 at Balmoor.
The Blue Toon had the title won when Jack Leitch sidefooted them ahead eight minutes from half-time but they failed to kill Stirling off and Peter Macdonald equalised.
Jim Mcinally’s men must win this weekend at Queen’s Park to ensure the title, with their manager saying: “We were there but now we need to get there again.”
Clyde defeated visitors
Queen’s Park 3-0 to move to within two points of Peterhead, with David Goodwillie scoring in the first half and Ally Love as well as Ray Grant netting in the second.
Berwick Rangers will finish bottom of the table and are in the Pyramid Play-off Final after losing 3-0 to resurgent
Albion Rovers.
Edinburgh City drew 1-1 with visitors Elgin City, with Josh Walker’s first-half curling free-kick cancelled out by substitute Owen Loveland.
