Endgame smashes box office records

Avengers: Endgame has shattered the record for biggest opening weekend, making an estimated $1.2 billion around the world. The Avengers finale exceeded even its own gargantuan expectations, according to studio estimates, and set a new weekend record in both the US and China, the world’s second largest movie market. Disney released Endgame in more movie theatres than any opening before, while advance ticketing services set new records and good reviews helped further boost the result.
