A furious dad has vowed to home school his teenage daughter after she was excluded from the classroom – for wearing a nose stud.

I see this as a discrimina­tory rule. It is archaic and has no reason for being other than “we don’t like it and you must obey”.

Rules are there for everyone! Put a plaster on and cover it while in school for health and safety compliance (like I did with my belly button piercing) or take it out.

It’s that simple. A plaster stops it being ripped out. That’s why piercings are forbidden – to protect kids from unnecessar­y injuries, nothing else.
