Ankle break ends season for Rankin

Clyde’s veteran midfielder John Rankin suffered a broken ankle in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Queen’s Park, and the 35-year-old underwent surgery the following day.

Rankin has been a standout for the Bully Wee this season but he will be missing for their crunch game against Cowdenbeath this Saturday and the play-offs should Danny Lennon’s side fail to pip Peterhead to the League 2 title.
