Fire breaks out in building on city building site

Emergency services were forced to battle an Edinburgh blaze after a fire broke out in a portable building on a building site.

Firefighte­rs were called to the site on Gorgie Road near Saughton Park at 11:48am yesterday. Three crews tackled the blaze.

It is not believed there was anyone inside the building when it went up in flames.

Police Scotland are also in attendance.

Paramedics arrived at the scene in front of 502 Riverside House about 12:10pm.

There are not believed to have been any serious injuries.
